The history committee undertakes a number of projects to preserve the rich history of St. John's. Currently the committee is building an oral history of the last century at St. John's based on interviews with present and former clergy, and older members who have been at St. John's for 50 or more years. The committee is also spearheading an effort to preserve and restore the Jones family burial ground on the hill above the church. Buried there are members of the founding family who donated the land for the church as well as the building .
